The Masai Mara National Reserve is a safari destination that is hard to beat.
Indeed, if you’ve been dreaming of an African safari, the image you have in mind is probably very close to the Masai Mara.
This is quintessential Africa: wide open savannah, with herds of grazers moving along the horizon, stopping in the shade of isolated acacia trees in the heat of the day.
You’ll get to see your fair share of predators too. Lion and cheetah are common, but finding a leopard requires a bit more patience.
The safari starts and ends in Nairobi with possibility of extension and each open roofed safari minibus will accommodate 6 of you, with each person guaranteed a window seat.
Accommodation is based on medium range Safari Lodges or Permanent Tented Camps.

Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara
You will be picked from your hotel/airport and will depart to Maasai Mara National Reserve via the Mai Mahiu route, arrive at around Noon having an en-route game drive as you proceed to Maasai Mara Sopa Lodge for lunch.
At 1600hrs you will go for the evening game drive and back.
Dinner and overnight at the Masai Mara Sopa Lodge. Meals: Lunch & Dinner.

Day 2: Masai Mara – Fullday
After breakfast you will enjoy morning and evening game drives around the reserve.
Maasai Mara is considered Kenya’s prime wildlife area home to over 450 species of birds including the Kenya’s national bird, the Lilac-breasted roller bird.
A drive to the famous Mara River will give you the chance to see the huge crocodiles basking on the sun.
During the wildebeest migration which comes every year in the months of June & July this Mara River turns to a valley of death where only the strong survive.
Zebras, antelopes & wildebeest cross into Mara to seek greener pastures, but the crocodiles lie in wait to feast on the weak ones.
Dinner and overnight at Masai Mara Sopa Lodge on Full Board basis. Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 3: Masai Mara; Nairobi
Breakfast at the Lodge. Depart for Nairobi with your packed lunches to arrive in the afternoon and are dropped off. Breakfast and Lunch
